HEAVEN

Directions on how to get to Heaven

Have you ever stopped to ask for directions, followed them, and found yourself still lost? I think we have all been there and done that. The key to getting where you want to go is to find someone who can give you the right directions. There are some people who mean well and want to help but the truth is that they just don’t know how to give good directions. The same is true about Christianity. There are some people who are trying to find their way to Heaven but can’t find anyone who can give them good directions. Not just anybody can tell you how to get to Heaven. If you are one of those “lost” people trying to get to Heaven, let me assure you that you can get there from here. You will find detailed directions below.

First, you must know where you are starting from.

Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  Before we can get to our destination we must know where we are.  The Bible makes it clear that we are all sinners.  Before we can start the journey, we must admit that we are sinners.

Second, you must figure out the cost of the trip.

Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…”  A wage is what we earn.  A man works for a week and earns a wage or a paycheck.  The Bible says that sin has a wage or a paycheck also.  That wage is death.  Because we sin and are sinners, we earn that wage.  One day we will die.  Our bodies will be buried and our spirit must go somewhere.  Revelation 21:8 tells us that there is a second death called the “lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.”  If we pay for the trip ourselves, this is the cost.  By the way, it is an expense that reaps no dividends.  If you choose to pay for the trip yourself, you will never reach the destination.

Third, Jesus paid for the trip for you.

Romans 6:23 ends like this, “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Jesus paid for the trip when He died on the cross for you. Eternal life is through Jesus Christ, not the church or baptism.

Fourth, you must accept His payment.

Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” That is a promise from God. It is a two-part promise. You must call on the Lord. If you will do that, then He will do the rest and save you. Unless you trust what Jesus, Christ did for you on the cross, you must pay for the trip yourself. The only way that you can pay for the trip is to die and go to Hell. Can you really afford that?

You can make your reservation in Heaven right now. All you have to do is call upon Christ by faith.

Let us help you word a prayer. (Realize it’s not mere words that will save you, but your faith in Christ.)

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and save my soul from Hell. I am trusting you, and you alone to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me, Jesus. Amen”
